Michael Schön, Technical Director at Volvo Cars Technology Fund in Sweden.
Michael Schön is an aerospace engineer and has worked for 20 years within the space industry; with 15 years at the international governmental European Space Agency (ESA/ESTEC) near the Hague, Netherlands with development of earth observation satellites, scientific satellites, Mars Rover, etc in collaboration with other space agencies and space industry prior joining Volvo Cars.
He joined Volvo Cars in 2017 as product manager with the development of Volvo Cars next generation high performance autonomous drive (AD) car core computer in collaboration with NVIDIA. He currently works as Technical Director at the Volvo Cars Technology fund, which targets strategic investments, related to e.g., in information technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, safety, sustainability, electrification and mobility tech sectors.
